 Few Skin Care Suggestions

We had a horrendous weather in Europe the beginning of 2010 and end of 2009. In UK and Germany there as record breaking temperature and in these conditions your skin can take a toll. Having a humidifier installed or Luftbefeuchter in German, can help you keep your skin moisturised in cool conditions.

In cold conditions even oily skins can get all dry. SOme of us believe that wearing many layes of clothes will keep the skin safe from not getting dry but that’s not true. I have listed few tips on how to keep your skin moisturised over the winter period you can even use the tips during other seasons.

Water is definitely the first thing on my list. Drinking plenty of water keeps our organs hydrated and the biggest organ we have in our body is the skin. Water helps on keeping the skin moisturised from inside. People who do a lot of physical activities or exercises they sweat a lot hence we need to keep refuelling our body with water by at atleast 2 to 3 litres a day.

Apply cream in to the skin before going to sleep. Most people apply the creams before they head out in the day time but they do not apply it before going to sleep. The activities we do during the day time reduces the moisturisation of our skin and it is vital to moisturise the skin before going to sleep. Otherwise your body will feel dryer when you wake up in the morning.

Use humidifiers in your home, because the air in winter can be very dry. We like to keep our heater on at almost all times during the winter and it can cause skin to dry along with the nasal passage, that is why we see dry blood coming out of our nose everytime we blow in the morning.

Have shower in cold water. Yes it is difficult to do so in cold winter but it will do a world of good to your skin and protect your skin from going dry.
